GOT WATER?
We need your help. The newly planted PLT Urban Oasis Garden
at McGarth Park is there for the whole community. Community participation as well as local
school involvement is one of the main goals of the garden. Volunteers working
together to create a unique garden of all native plants that provides important
habitat for birds & wildlife.
Volunteers working together to create a special place for learning.
Your help is needing with watering this young garden. Since
the plants are still getting established they need our assistance. The beauty
of a native garden is once it is established it will need less assistance from
us and will require less water. It is adapted to local environmental
conditions.
So please consider stopping by the garden with your watering
can and give the garden a drink. We are heading down to the pond for the water.
At the garden you will see that the areas that our flagged off have the
plantings. There is also some small sapling that could sure use a drink on
these hot summer days.
THANK YOU!
