Owl Prowl
No luck with owls but Good Luck with seeing old friends and making new ones!
Wow with our guide John T. approximately 50 attendees enjoyed an unseasonable warm December night that had the ever present light breeze that Prospect is known for at McGrath Park. The group tried the owl calls at 3 locations around LRMS and the park but did not make any visual or audio signs of owls. Still it was not considered unsuccessful as the group enjoyed a nice walk at night and were introduced to the Urban Oasis Garden all added by a beautiful First Quarter Moon that lite up the sky.
Thank you to everyone who made this another special event and hope to see you at the up and coming Bear Presentation in March, details to follow.
Join the Fun Owl Prowl Tonight!
Back by popular demand the Prospect Land Trust is hosting an Owl Prowl tonight December 30th at 7:00pm. We will meet in the Long River Middle School parking lot. We will be visiting the PLT Urban Oasis Garden in McGarth Park and with any luck get a glimpse of any owls that may visit this area of Prospect. John Triana will be our guide, he will be using owl calls in hopes to solicit a response from any owls in the area. Wear comfortable appropriate shoes, bring a flashlight and no pets please. We have had a great time in the past and we are sure to have another great time again together. Hope to see you there!
