SOMETHING OLD,
The Prospect Land Trust is 23 years
old, it was originally a small group of individuals called COPE – Citizens
Organized to Protect the Environment – and later became incorporated as a Land
Trust in February 1994.
SOMETHING NEW,
Consider becoming a new member and
if you are a current member why not make a new donation or give a new gift
membership to a family member, friend or neighbor. Remember we are a non-profit
and your donations are tax deductible.
SOMETHING BORROWED,
We do not inherit the earth from our
ancestors: we borrow it from our children is a saying we often hear. Prospect
Land Trusts mission is to have open spaces remain permanently protected for the
benefit and enjoyment of our community today, tomorrow, and future generations.
SOMETHING BLUE,
Blue Jays are known for there
intelligence, complex social systems, and have tight family bonds. They
communicate with vocal calls as well as “body language” using their crest. Blue
Jays have an immense “vocabulary” and are excellent mimics. Because of their
love of acorns and good selection of burying sites they are credited with the
spread of oak trees after the last glacial period.
